Sulfuric acid is a widely used chemical in industry. For the stable operation of microprocess devices, a superior corrosion resistance is a prerequisite. Due to the excellent corrosion resistance of glassy carbon several approaches for the fabrication of microstructured devices were investigated. Since the material is made by high temperature pyrolysis some special design rules must be considered.
