Investigations into the process dynamic and control of a laboratory agitator bead mill
A laboratory test stand has been developed and installed which, besides the required technical processing tests, enables a computer-aided control resp. adjustment of the comminution process. The investigations into the stationary process behaviour of the laboratory agitator bead mill (characterized by performance characteristics) were followed by research into process dynamics. For this purpose, the output signals (step function response) were recorded and evaluated from aperiodic test signals (step functions) at the process input. In order to obtain approaching industrial conditions a field-proven disturbance variable was simulated, After an approximation of the system behaviour by means of a dynamic model, computer-aided selection and dimensioning of a control unit took place.
