The free motion of a single cylindrical particle in an incompressible sinusoidally horizontally and vertically oscillating Bow field under consideration of the gravity field is investigated. A new numerical method based on the overlapping grid approach is developed. The influence of Reynolds number and density ratio on the particle motion is also discussed.
