Experimental study of a four-bed pressure swing adsorption process for the recovery of hydrogen
A mathematical model of nonisothermal multicomponent pressure swing adsorption, developed elsewhere, is validated based on experimental data concerning the separation of hydrogen, methane and nitrogen in a four-bed pilot plant packed with zeolite 5A. The measured concentration and temperature profile, as well as hydrogen purity and recovery, are found to be in satisfactory agreement with those predicted by the model.
