MRI: a new window into filter development, testing & optimization
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is already widely used by radiologists for the detection and clinical diagnosis of many human diseases. Work by a group at the Herchel Smith Laboratory for Medicinal Chemistry, Cambridge University, has now demonstrated that MRI can provide unique measurements of the structure and function of filters. Professor Laurie Hall explains how this technique should aid future developments in the field of filtration.
