Raisin grower cuts wastewater costs with RO membranes system
The sales and production of California-based National Raisin Co's raisin products were rapidly increasing, However, its wastewater costs were increasing at a similar rate, so the company began to look at ways to minimize these costs. The installation of a reverse osmosis (RO) membrane plant from ITT Sanitaire's PCI Membrane Systems Inc proved to be the solution it was after. Furthermore, National Raisin has not only been able to cut its wastewater costs, but the technology has also opened up a potentially lucrative source of additional income.
