Epoxy resins have been applied extensively in the fields of coatings Because they have good adhesive force, waterproofing and weather resistance etc. However they have also demerits such as short storability, brittleness and so on. To improve the storage property, generally, latent hardeners especially microcapsulated hardener are used. And to improve the brittleness, soft materials such as rubbers are mixed with epoxy moieties. In this study, we synthesized one component epoxy coating agent using microcapsulated hardener modified with PDMS based polyurethane. FT-IR, UTM. DSC, TGA, Contact angle test method and Surface hardness tester were utilizes to characterized th physical and mechanical properties of Epoxy-urethane resins. |
