Although AlN ceramics are ceramic, they have a high thermal conductivity of 320W / mK in theory. However, there is an unstable property which is easy to oxidize during sintering and high temperature is required in self sintering. Yttria is used as the main sintering additive in order to lower the sintering temperature and stable sintering. In this study, the high cost of yttria was replaced by CuO or SiO2 oxide additives and the sintering temperature was lowered. After each powder was mixed, compressed using a uniaxial press and CIP. The ceramics were sintered in a nitrogen atmosphere at 1500 ° C for 4 hours and then the thermal conductivity was measured. The purpose of this study is to maintain the density and thermal conductivity at the low sintering temperature, but the thermal conductivity is insufficient for commercialization. However, it showed a positive tendency when CuO was added, and it is expected that the commercially available thermal conductivity can be expected when applied as the optimum sintering condition. |
