제목 Swellable binary polymer for removal rare metal ions via free radical polymerization
초록 The adsorption process seems to be the most suitable method for recovery rare metals due to its low cost, safety, and high efficiency. Because of insoluble in water, ordinary adsorbents for the recovery metal ions present two problems which are low recovery and low adsorption rate. In this study, we synthesized water swellable polymer that shows fast adsorption rate and high adsorption amount. Adsorption has been researched based on the covalent grafting of group complexes. We synthesized three types copolymer-Poly (allylamine-co-methacrylic acid(MAA)), Poly (allylamine-co-(2-(dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate)(DMAEMA)), Poly (allylamine-co-N-isopropylacrylamide(NIPAM))- functionalized with amine group which has strong affinity to metal ions. Copolymers are well swelled in aqueous solution and show good adsorptive power. Molecular weight measurements are carried out by GPC. We found adsorption site with XPS. Selectivity and adsorption capacity of copolymer are studied by ICP-OES.
