제목 Capillary assembly of Ag nanoparticle for the fabrication of high aspect ratio nanogrid transparent conducting electrode
초록 Previous studies on nanostructured metal based transparent electrodes have shown that trade-off between the transmittance and sheet resistance can be overcome by the high-aspect-ratio metal nanostructure. However, fabrication of high-aspect-ratio metal nanostructure using conventional top-down approaches is still challenging. In this report, metal nanogrid transparent electrode is fabricated by assembling the Ag nanoparticles (AgNPs) along the patterned template. When the three-phase contact line (TCL) of the AgNP suspension is dragged over the patterned template, the AgNPs near the TCL are assembled into the trenches by capillary forces induced by the receding meniscus. For the uniform and selective assembly, contact angle, concentration and evaporation rate of AgNP suspension are controlled. Sheet resistance of Ag nanogrid is effectively reduced by photochemical welding and post-annealing. Our Ag nanogrids have an sheet resistance of 15.2Ω/sq and optical transmittance of 85.4%.
