Synthesis of zeolite A was carried to analyze the synthesis process of nanoparticle using statistical experimental design method. The zeolite A synthesized by controlling the concentration of the silicon precursor, Sodium Metasilicate (SMS), was characterized by XRD, SEM and nitrogen adsorption. In particular, the property of zeolite A can be determined by the XRD analysis. Using the general factor analysis in the design of experiments, we analyzed the main effects and interactions according to the reactor, reaction temperature and reaction time. The optimal conditions for the synthesis of zeolite A with the maximum crystallinity were suggested by using the autoclave, the reaction time of 3 hours and the reaction temperature of 110°C through the reaction surface method. Furthermore, the optimum synthesis conditions of zeolite A with various crystallinity using Ludox as a silicon precursor were presented for all ranges using surface and contour plot. |
