제목 Stretchable Substrates, TFTs and Interconnections for Display Applications
초록 We highlight some key technologies recently developed in stretchable substrates, stretchable interconnections, and stretchable thin film transistors (TFTs) which are essential for realizing stretchable electronic devices including stretchable display backplanes, organic-based sensors, solar cells, and self-healing electronic devices. In the present work, we demonstrate new techniques for fabricating well-controlled wavy metal interconnects on stress-free elastomeric substrates, where active device for TFT are locally defined as flat and rigid regions. In these techniques, the active device areas are formed as high-stiffness elastomer or thick polyimide islands, which show relatively small or nearly no strain even under a large amount of external stress.
