제목 Aziridine-Capped Poly(ethylene glycol) Brush Copolymers : Versatile Cross-Linkers for adhesives with tunable architectures
초록  Controlling adhesive andcohesive properties in a refined manner is paramount to develophigh-performance adhesives. However, most conventional cross-linkers are smallmolecules or oligomers with limited functionality. Herein, a brush copolymerconsisting of varying lengths and densities of the aziridine-cappedpoly(ethylene glycol) (AzPEG) brush, termed P(AzPEG), is presented for use as amultifunctional polymeric cross-linker for carboxylate-containing acrylicadhesives. The density and length of the AzPEG brush, with respect to the totalbrush, are controlled by the concentration and molecular weight of the AzPEGacrylate monomer, respectively. In addition, the use of amphiphilic PEG alsomakes it possible for use in a variety of solvents. Therefore, mechanical andadhesive properties of solvent and waterborne acrylic adhesives are effectivelycontrolled by P(AzPEG) without the need for a substantial change inconcentration.
