Electrospinning(ES) is a fiber forming process. It provides a simple and versatile method for generating ultrathin fibers from a rich variety of materials that includes polymers, composites, and ceramics etc. Host–guest systems based on zeolite L crystals have drawn a lot of attention in the past few years in the fields of artificial antennae and color converters, as they exhibit enhanced emission efficiency and chemical stability. The zeolite crystals are well oriented in the nanofibers with their crystal axis parallel to the fiber axis. Dye-loaded zeolites, integrated into nanofibers, form very bright nanometric light sources emitting polarized light at visible wavelengths, which can be exploited in advanced nanophotonic applications. We demonstrated that a simple route for fabricating core-shell structure of PS nanofibers/zeolite crystals embedding dye by electrospining. The resultant PS nanofibers was characterized by scanning electron microscop(SEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy(EDX), photoluminescence(PL), UV-visible sprctroscopy. |
