Cells are affected by the topography of the surface on which they were seeded. Especially, Surface chemistry is really important for cell attachment that further affects cell proliferation. Fibrinogen is a soluble blood plasma protein which the enzyme trombin converts into fibrin during the blood-clotting process. Also, it makes cell attachment enhances. In this study, we investigated the effect of the fibrinogen incorporated calcium phosphate thin films according to cnocentration on the biological responses of osteoblast-like HOS cells. Alterations of surface morphology were observed by using SEM. Chemical properties of the films were analyzed using XPS. Osteoblast-like HOS cells make use of adhesion and proliferation and differentiation. This study shows that it is possible to osteoinductivity induced by fibrinogen incorporated calcium phosphate thin films. |
