제목 Ionic Liquid Incorporated Polymer Electrolytes for DSSC
초록 Dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) has attracted great attention owing to its high-energy conversion efficiency and low production cost. Although a respectable photon-to-electricity conversion efficiency (ca. 11% at 1 sun, AM 1.5) has been achieved for DSSC employing volatile liquid electrolyte, leakage and evaporation of solvent has been one of the critical factors limiting the long-term stability. Polymer electrolytes may be suitable alternative to be used as a solid electrolyte in DSSC application. We have studied structural properties and ionic conductivity of the polymer electrolyte and then solar cell performance. The polymer electrolyte system (PEO:NaI/I2) was doped with low viscosity ionic liquid (IL), 1-ethyl 3- methylimidazolium dicyanamide (EMImDCN). Incorporation of decreased surface roughness and crystallinity of the polymer electrolyte and enhanced the short current (Jsc). Optimized short current was found at 90wt% of IL. Efficiency of 4.02% was obtained under 100 mW/cm2.
