제목 Improvement of Stability of 3-Dimensional Organic Metamaterial
초록 Supramolecular materials are formed by intermolecular self-assembly through secondary interactions, such as hydrogen bonds and π-π interactions. If supramolecular materials have periodicity and regularity, it would have unique properties that are found in metamaterials. Therefore, when supramolecular material constitutes a metamaterial, internal pores are essentially formed, which has potential to be applied as separators and sensors. However, it’s still challenging in applications because secondary interactions are weak and reversible. Here, we synthesized the 3-dimensional molecular metamaterial with high thermal stability by introducing primary alcohols. Hydrogen bonds, which classified as a strong secondary interaction, achieved higher melting point of 130℃ and strong durability. As the stability improves, the 3D porous structure is expected to be applied to liquid separation because it can selectively absorb liquid from the mixture without breaking its own structure.
