Epoxy resins occupy a major portion in the thermosetting polymer market and are used as building materials, composite materials, coatings or adhesives. Selection of curing agents holds great importance as its structure impacts the curing reaction thereby affecting the overall property of the resin. Among them, mercaptan based curing agents are thought to have higher applicability than commonly used amine based curing agents due to their low-temperature fast curing property.
