제목 Layer-by-Layer Assembly of Fluorophore-Labeled Polyelectrolytes
초록 The layer-by-layer (LbL) assembling method based on electrostatic interaction between oppositely charged materials in aqueous solutions has been employed to create multilayered thin films with a well-controlled thickness in a molecular scale. In addition, a variety of functional materials such as conducting polymers, organic dyes, and semiconductor nanoparticles have been incorporated into LbL thin films. Moreover, the LbL method can effectively generate multifunctional thin films by incorporating more than a single functional component into thin films. In this presentation, we demonstrate fabrication of thin films having multiple fluorescent dyes by the LbL process of fluorophore-labeled polyelectrolytes. The mutual distance between three different dyes was adjusted by the number of pure polyelectrolyte layers. In addition, the fluorescence resonance energy transfer between three fluorescent dyes was studied by adjusting their mutual distance in the thin film.
