제목 Enhanced Fluorescence of ZnO Nanoparticles by Coupling with Metal Nanoparticles in Layer-by-Layer Assemblies
초록 There have been intensive researches to investigate the coupling between fluorophores and metal nanoparticles by the surface plasmon effect. It is an interesting topic to study the coupling between semiconductors nanoparticles such as ZnO and metal nanoparticles such as Ag and Au. To control the coupling between these nanoparticles, adjusting the distance between them in the nanometer scale is essential. We employed the layer-by-layer (LbL) assembling method for the precise control over the distance between Ag (or Au) nanoparticles and ZnO nanoparticles which show the defect-level fluorescence in the visible range. The number of polyelectrolyte layers between metal nanoparticles and ZnO nanoparticles were controlled in LbL assemblies. We observed the enhancement of the fluorescence of ZnO nanoparticles by coupling with metal nanoparticles.
