제목 | Effect of pH value on the Ru dispersion and particle size of Ru/C catalyst |
초록 | Highly dispersed metal supported catalysts are important in catalytic activity that they affect the conversion and selectivity. The type of support, precursor, pretreatment and calcination process have been mainly studied for the preparation of highly dispersed catalysts. Ru based catalysts are the highest conversion and selectivity among other noble metals for hydrogenation of levulinic acid(LA), which has strong hydrogen adsorption properties to hydroxyl oxygen of LA. In this study, we investigated the effect of pH value on the Ru dispersion of Ru/C catalysts to obtain the highly dispersed catalysts. The 5wt% Ru/C catalysts were prepared by deposition-precipitation method with varying pH values. The Ru/C catalysts were characterized by XRD, TEM, N2-physisorption, XPS, TPD, H2-TPR and CO chemisorption. Then, catalytic activity was evaluated through hydrogenation of LA. |
