제목 SERS and Magnetic Dual-Function Nanoprobes for Highly Sensitive and Effective On-Site Organic Chemical Detection
초록 In this work, we synthesized magnetic silver nanoshell (M-AgNS) with magnetic and SERS properties for SERS-based detection. The M-AgNS consists of thousands of Fe3O4 nanoparticles for fast aggregation and bumpy silver shell for sensitive SERS detection by NIR (near-infrared region) laser excitation. The intensity of the SERS signal emitted by the M-AgNS was strong enough to provide single particle level detection abilities. We obtained stronger SERS signal intensity with aggregated M-AgNS than with non-aggregated AgNS. 4-Fluorothiopenol (4-FBT) was detected at a low concentration of 1 nM corresponding to 0.16 ppb and the limit of detection for tetramethylthiuram disulfide was 10 µM, which corresponds to 3 ppm. By using a portable Raman system, the M-AgNS can be used to detect trace amounts of organic molecules.
