제목 | AgIn alloy Electrocatalyst for Electrochemical Reduction of CO2 to CO |
초록 | As the global warming was gradually accelerated, the suppression of CO2 has been recognized as a major challenge. The electrochemical CO2 reduction (CO2R) is possible to reduce the emission of green gas and produce the useful fuels such as CO, CH4, HCOOH and CH3OH. Among them, CO production via electrochemical CO2R has been investigated on Au- and Ag-based catalysts. However, the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), as a competition reaction of CO2R, is thermodynamically easy to occur in aqueous system that the selectivity of CO production could be reduced. In order to overcome this problem, it is essential to modification of catalyst properties. In this work, the electrochemically fabricated AgIn alloy was investigated for electrochemical CO2R. The introduction of In to Ag is feasible to suppress HER. In addition, the atomic ratio between Ag and In was changed by controlling the deposition conditions, which the AgIn alloy exhibits reasonable CO Faradaic efficiency. |
