Hydrogen is currently recognized as a clean energy carrier alternative to carbon-based fuels. In order to achieve the H2-based economy, a sustainable hydrogen carrier is needed to store and supply large quantites of hydrogen in a safe manner. Ammonia can be a promising candidate as a hydrogen storage material because it has a high gravimetric hydrogen storage density of 17.7wt%. In this contribution, we present the synthesis and characterization of a series of ABO3 perovskites, Sr1-xYxTi1-yRuyO3-d (x=0, 0.08, and 0.16; y=0, 0.04, 0.07, 0.12, 0.17, and 0.26). Catalytic dehydrogenation activies of these materials will be further discussed. |
