Study on the Powder Coating of Modified β-Hydroxyalkylamide using Dimethyl glutamate |
초록 |
Steady, worldwide growth of β-hydroxy alkylamide (β-HAA) crosslinking chemistry reflects the demand for new cure technologies that address issues of health and safety, environmental concerns, economics and performance. Polyester/β-HAA powder coatings are primarily used for exterior durable applications due to their outstanding weathering characteristics. But, this product has a defection which is low thermal resistance. So we modified alkyl group of β-HAA using the dimethyl glutamate (DMGa). Although previous our research has studied using the reaction of dimethyl adipate (DMAd) with diethanol amine (DEA), for better thermal resistance, the materials of hardener was been synthesized from reaction of DMGa and DEA. DMGa was synthesized by the esterification. Then, the DMGa slowly dropped the mixture of diethanolamine containing the sodium methoxide. After this, we obtained the product having better thermal resistance. |
