제목 | The oxidation characteristics of PPS surface |
초록 | Polyphenylene Sulfide(PPS) is a super engineering plastic with excellent heat resistance, dimensional stability, chemical resistance and mechanical properties. However, PPS has a limitation in improving mechanical properties and heat resistance through compounding due to poor compatibility with other polymers or fillers. So, in order to be applied to more various fields as a high functional material, it is necessary to increase the compatibility through modification. Therefore, it is intended to improve compatibility by modifying the surface of the resin using the oxidation characteristics of PPS. In this study, various types of acids were used for the surface treatment. Through this, the surface characteristics of PPS according to the type and concentration of acid were confirmed. Surface modification was confirmed using FTIR, Contact angle, and XPS, and the PPS polymer composite compounded through the extrusion process was characterized by analyzing UTM and TGA. |
