Polyaniline based organic/inorganic nanohybrid materials have received great attention ranging from biosensing to energy conversion, due to the synergistic contribution of the individual materials in the property enhancements. In the present study, we introduced a facile method to prepare hierarchical nanocomposites by in-situ polymerization of conducting polyaniline (PANI) on the vanadium disulfide (VS2) nanosheets. The morphology, composition, and electronic structure of the polyaniline composites with and without VS2 nanostructures were characterized using XRD, FT-IR, SEM, TEM, TGA, and XPS. These hierarchical nanocomposite possessed higher electrochemical capacitance and better stability than each individual component as supercapacitor electrode materials, showing a synergistic effect of PANI and VS2. |
