The polyester coatings have many advantages such as hardness, durability, flexibility, gloss and etc. However, the common raw materials have low molecular weight and short chain length which are not enough to cut and form in harsh condition. In this study, polyester-based coatingsare designed to improve flexibility with polycarbonate diol which have the long alkyl chain and carbonate linkage. 1,6-hexanediol, alinear and highflexible raw material of polyesteris used to compare with polycarbonate diol, in terms of flexibility. |
