제목 Examination for the cellular interaction with Cal 72 cells and β-TCP/PLA composite scaffolds
초록 Bioactive ceramics are known to provoke specific biological responses at the interface of the materials resulting in the formation of a strong bond between the tissue and materials. In our previous studies, a new method to prepare β-Tricalciumphosphate/Polylactic acid (β-TCP/PLA) composite scaffolds was developed and also, it was confirmed that a β-TCP/PLA composite scaffold could induce osteoinduction and could be useful for bone tissue engineering in the macroscopic view. In this study, the cellular interaction with a β-TCP/PLA composite scaffold and Cal 72 cells infected with GFP and the differentiation of cells onto the scaffold were examined with confocal microscope and polymerase chain reaction. From the results, it was shown that Cal 72 cells onto the β-TCP/PLA scaffolds more expressed osteocalcin and osteonectin as an evidence of the differentiation to osteoblasts than them onto the PLA scaffolds and the marker genes for osteoblasts were up-regulated.
