제목 Preparation and Characterization of Nafion/PTFE-g-PAA Reinforced Composite Membrane for Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell
초록 Reinforced composite fuel cell membranes were fabricated by the impregnation of porous poly(acrylic acid)-grafted polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE-g-PAA) prepared by radiation grafting with Nafion solutions. Surface modification with radiation grafting of acrylic acid was found to decrease the contact angle of PTFE by converting the hydrophobic surface of PTFE into a hydrophilic surface. The structures of the prepared membranes were characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM-EDX). The water uptake (WU), dimensional stability, and proton conductivity were also measured.
