제목 Curing behavior and properties of epoxy nanocomposites with amine- functionalized graphenes
초록 Because graphene has superior electric and thermal conductivity, stiffness, and high aspect ratio, it can improve those properties of matrix polymers when it is well dispersed. To take full advantage of polymer nanocomposites with graphenes homogeneous dispersion and strong interfacial adhesion are essential and these can be achieved by an effective functionalization of graphenes. The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of introducing amine groups on the surfaces of graphenes. FT-IR spectroscopy, TGA and SEM were used to confirm the functionalization. Epoxy nanocomposites comprising the graphenes were prepared and their characteristics were investigated by DSC, DMA and TMA. Fracture surfaces of the nanocomposites were investigated by SEM. The amine-functionalization induced strong interfacial bonding resulting in considerable improvements in the performance of the nanocomposites.
