The organosolv pretreatment process is a process for extracting materials such as lignin from biomass as an organic solvent to increase production efficiency of the final product. The organosolv can separate the lignin of the biomass from the solid phase to the liquid phase, and the solvent used can be easily recovered and recycled. Ethanol is a suitable solvent for organosolv pretreatment as a delignification method for enzymatic hydrolysis. In this study, the effects of organosolv pretreatment on herbaceous biomass were confirmed. Corn stover was selected as herbaceous biomass and used in the pretreatment process. Ethanol was used as the pretreatment solvent and the pretreatment performance was confirmed by changing the pretreatment conditions such as time and temperature depending on the concentration. The pretreatment conditions were set at a temperature of 130 to 190 ℃ and a reaction time of 10 to 120 min depending on the process. The pretreatment solvent were used ethanol of 60% and 99.5% concentration. |
