제목 | Improvement of compatibility of recycledABS/SBS blends via plasma-assisted mechanochemistry |
초록 | The major limitation of recyclingof Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene(ABS) is thermal oxidation during itslifetime. Since the waste of ABS increases, we need to solve this problem.Recycled ABS (r-ABS) has suffered from degradation of poly-butadiene phase duringreprocessing, leading to deterioration of mechanical properties, especiallyimpact strength. To improve the mechanical properties,styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS), which is an excellent impact modifier, wereintroduced to improve the impact strength. In addition, plasma-assistedmechanochemistry (PMC) process was introduced to improve dispersion of SBS andcompatibility between r-ABS and SBS. We confirmed that the mechanicalproperties of r-ABS have been enhanced to achieve those of virgin ABS. |
