제목 Synthesis, Characterization, and Liquid Crystal Aliginment Properties of Photosensitive Polyimide
초록 Polyimides (PIs) have been widely used in the liquid- crystal display (LCD) industry. Because of high glass-transition temperatures , optical transparencies , excellent mechanical , adhesion and dielectric properties. The rubbing process has shortcomings , such as dust generation , electrostatic problems and poor control of rubbing strengh , so some photo-induced LC alignment concepts have recently been reported. One of the representative approaches is to utilize photoreactive moiety and its derivative that is incorporated into polymer as side group. The polymers are known to undergo a preferential orientation via a directionally selective photoreaction by exposing to a linearly polarized ultraviolet light (LPUVL).
