Preparation of Template-Assisted Conducting Polymer Nanowires and Their Applications for Sensor. |

Conducting polymer nanowires with high aspect ratio have been extensively investigated due to their potential application such as field effect transistors, biosensor, gas sensor, organic photo-voltaic devices. One of the most promising methods is a hard template-based electrochemical polymerization method that takes advantage of control, simplicity and mass production. In this work, nanowires based on pyrrole and thiopene derivatives were synthesized electrochemically in anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) templates. And their aspect ratio was controlled by the electrical current applied. The synthesized polymer nanowires could be used as a template for various sensors. The morphologies of synthesized conducting polymer nanowires were investigated by SEM. In addition, some electrical properties were examined using various methods. |
