제목 | Habit Modifying and Design of Agglomerated Crystals of Ibuprofen using aqueous Anti-solvent Crystallization |
초록 | Anti-solvent process is a suitable process for crystallize the thermally-sensitive materials like explosives, polymers and pharmaceutical ingredients. In this research, particle properties and the external morphology of unprocessed pharmaceutical materials are controlled by anti-solvent crystallization process. Ibuprofen(IBU), a representative component of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory NSAIDs was chosen for this study. Acetone was used as organic solvent, distilled water for anti-solvent and TWEEN-80 was used as a surfactant to solve the Agglomeration phenomena. Crystallization was simulated under the variables of Temperature, Concentration, sonication treated. The particles were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and were evaluated for agglomeration tendency, particle size, chemical modification. IBU particles obtained from anti-solvent process are significantly changed in shape, size and agglomeration. Also, able to figure out Habit modifying tendency and agglomerate exhibition in this study. |
