Shock Absorbing and Adhesion Properties of Semi-Interpenetrating Network Acrylic Pressure Sensitive Adhesives for Display Applications |

Mobile phone consists of many films including shock absorbing film which can protect OLED from breakage. The film is conventionally composed of binder and blowing agent which makes void inside of film. The void absorbs the impact so that OLED can be protected from external stress. In this research, we replace this shock absorbing film system into semi-IPN PSA system that has no void inside of film but has damping properties by its unique structure. As a result, we found that network structure of semi-IPN PSA can affect the damping properties and there is a relation between damping properties and shock absorbing properties. Probe tack and peel strength of semi-IPN PSA is decreased by increasing UV irradiation dose and multi-functional monomer content. |
