As the anxiety of the environmental pollution increases, the oxygen is being applied to everyday life in recent years. However, most commercialized PSA processes which separate oxygen from air have been designed to produce a high purity oxygen-enriched stream. This experiment was performed to obtain the optimal process conditions in producing low purity oxygen from air using pressure swing adsorption. The influences of pressurization step duration, adsorption step duration, purge flow rate, and adsorption pressure were investigated. The optimum operating conditions were observed for given oxygen purity. |
