Addition Effect of Weak Base to Hole-Collecting Buffer Layers in Polymer Solar Cells with Bulk Heterojunction Active Layers |

For the past two decades, polymer solar cells (PSCs) have attracted great attention due to their advantageous potentials such as lightweight and flexible large-area solar modules, which can be enabled by employing continuous roll-to-roll processes. Recently, the morphology control of each layer has been extensively studied in order to improve the power conversion efficiency of PSCs. In addition, the surface/interface engineering has been carried out for various interfaces including charge-collecting buffer layers. In particular, our group has focused on the polymeric hole-collecting buffer layers, which are typically prepared from the acid-doped conjugated polymers, in order to improve the stability of normal-type PSCs. In this presentation, we demonstrate a couple of our recent approaches including weak base treatments on the hole-collecting buffer layers and the resulting stability change. |
