Tin oxide-Barium titanate (SnO2-BaTiO3) composite as an anode for lithium-ion battery based on piezoelectric effect |
초록 |
Graphite has a low specific capacity (372 mAh/g) which is used in Li-ion battery as an anode at present. In order to increase the specific capacity of the battery, we used tin oxide as an anode material. Tin oxide has relatively higher specific capacity (782 mAh/g) than graphite. Tin oxide-barium titanate composite was synthesized by barium titanate coating process on the surface of tin oxide. The mechanical pressure generates electric fields and piezoelectric potential by leading to polarization of barium titanate particles during charge/discharge process. We can expect the improved lithium ion mobility by piezoelectric effect. We used hydrothermal reaction and high temperature structure rearrangement process at the air atmosphere to enhanced electrochemical performance (increment of long term cycle stability). |
