Optimization of the Thermoelectric Figure of Merit in the PEDOT:PSS film by Chemical Dedoping Process |

Conducting polymer films having poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) : poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) were fabricated by post-treatment process such as overcoating. The resulting dedoped PEDOT:PSS films exhibited a high power factor of 318 μW/mK2 compared to that of 70.70 μW/mK2 in pristine PEDOT: PSS. Dedoping mechanism of PEDOT:PSS films was monitored using Raman spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). In addition, electrical conductivity and Seebeck coefficient of PEDOT: PSS films were measured by the Van der Pauw and were carried out in a special apparatus designed for nanofilm measurements. PEDOT:PSS films were demonstrated good electrical properties and high seebeck coefficient and expected to be excellent candidates for the fabrication of thermoelectric device. |
