제목 Post-Modification of Reactive Poly(Pentafluorophenyl Acrylate) Thin Films Using Primary Alkyl Amines
초록 Reactive polymer thin films have received intense attention for many potential applications. Polymers containing reactive moieties can be used as precursors for functional materials, which would otherwise be difficult to obtain. Poly(pentafluorophenyl acrylate) (poly(PFPA)) is known to have high reactivity with amine functional groups that offers easy approach to realize diverse functions starting from the same films. We investigated the controlled post-modification of spin-cast poly(PFPA) thin films using quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM-D) and neutron reflectivity (NR). Both alkyl chain length of primary alkyl amines and molecular weight of poly(PFPA) significantly affect the penetration depth of amines and the dissolution of polymer chains from the surface of films. Reactive poly(PFPA) thin films based on the simple and quantitative post-modification could be utilized for many practical applications due to the ease of control over the degree of functionalization.
