The carbazole containing polymers have good thermal and photochemical stability, film forming property, and relatively high charge carrier mobilities. So it was investigated in a wide variety of applications such as electrophotography and light-emitting diodes. In this study, we synthesized (E)-2-(2-(4-(3,6-dibromo -9H-carbazol-9-yl)styryl)-6-methyl-4H-pyran-4-ylidene)malononitrile as the red emitting material via introducing the DCM unit into the 3,6-dibromocarbazole. Copolymerization of this compound and 3,6-dibromo-N -ethylhexyl carbazole was conducted by Yamamoto coupling reaction. The effects of DCM unit contents on photophysical properties was investigated on UV-vis and PL spectrophotometer. Polymer EL devices was fabricated to consider the application of white-lighting polymer layer. |
