제목 A Study on the Mechanical and Electrical Properties of Polymer Nanocomposite for Cable Accessories
초록 The HV XLPE cable accessories have been mainly made of silicone or ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM). In particular, EPDM has a low degree of unsaturation in the molecule because diene having an unsaturated group is added. Also, since it has a side chain unsaturated group which is not a main chain, it has excellent heat resistance and oxidation resistance, etc. However, many amorphous polymers such as EPDM have low mechanical properties and should be filler such as carbon. The particle size, structure and surface properties of carbon filled in EPDM have influence on the physical and electrical properties. Generally as the particle size increases, elongation at break and modulus increases but tensile strength and hardness decrease. Filler can be applied to adjust the interface charge behaviors. In this paper, we developed Acc'y that improved mechanical and electrical properties by adding various carbon filler such as particle size and structure of commercial EPDM.
