제목 Physicochemically Stable Fluoro-containing Copolymers for Solution- and Vacuum-processed Organic Semiconductors
초록 It is known that fluorinated polymers as gate dielectrics considerably improve operation stability of organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) due to their extremely hydrophobic nature. However, OFETs on fluorinated polymer dielectrics yielded relatively poor electrical performance, originating from the large variation in surface energy between semiconductor and dielectric. Here, we synthesized poly(pentafluoro styrene)-random-polystyrene (PFS-r-PS) copolymer series with different composition ratios, as dielectric materials, which showed a wide range of surface energies, specifically, 100% PFS polymer showed an excellent solvent resistance against common solvents. On the PFS-r-PS treated dielectrics, poly(3-hexyl thiophene) and pentacene OFETs were fabricated and characterized, compared with the PS/PFS blended system.
