In this study, we present a successful design and fabricating method of a multi-layered hydrogel considering the interfacial layer formed by diffusion. The multi-layered hydrogels with various curvature were fabricated with different mechanical properties of each layer. However, the bi-layered hydrogels were self-folded in the 1.6-fold differs from the curvature with the fabricated bi-layered hydrogel, as compared to that of the designed curvature. The differences of the curvature were verified by simulation with formation of interfacial layer by diffusion time. Actually, the radius of curvatures were increased in the 2.61-fold with 11.76 mm at 10 min, as compared to that of 4.5 mm at 0 min. Overall, this new strategy to successful design and fabricating method of the multi-layered hydrogel would be actively used in bio robots, actuators, tissue engineering, and drug delivery. |
