Structural Analysis of Polymer-liposome Complexes and its Application to Skin Delivery |

In this research, we analyzed the structure of the polymer-liposome complexes by varying various factors and looked into the potential applicability of this carrier as a skin delivery system. We prepared the polymer-liposome complexes by using the high pressure homogenization techniques, and the results showed that the structure of polymer-liposome complexes were changed by polymer concentration, the chain architecture of polymer, the preparation concentration of vesicles. This polymer-liposome complexes showed a higher stability in both salted condition and emulsion system than PC(phosphatidylcholine):cholesterol liposome, and the results of skin permeation experiment through Franz-cell demonstrated that drugs were delivered better into the skin of guinea pig by using polymer-liposome complexes as a drug carrier than by using drug itself or PC:cholesterol liposome. |
