Development of organic solar cells with graphene anode |

For organic solar cells (OSCs), ITO electrode has commonly been used. However, brittleness of ITO are critical drawbacks when applied to flexible OSCs. Graphene is a promising candidate for replacing ITO due to its high transmittance and excellent mechanical and electrical properties. In this work, we demonstrated flexible OSCs using graphene anode. We overcame problem of water-dispersed PEDOT:PSS coating on hydrophobic graphene surface by adding perfluorinated ionomer (PFI). With the successfully coated PEDOT:PSS layer, we developed OSCs with graphene as anodes. Furthermore, we realized the optimal number of layers of graphene for electrodes of OSCs by analyzing open-circuit voltage, short-circuit current density and fill factor of devices. |
