Polyaniline (PAni) is well-known that doping state can be changed depending on the environmental pH conditions. Recently, our group reported that PAni could be used to the photothermal agent for cancer cells. However, PAni has a problem showing low near infrared light absorption in neutral pH, because PAni is only doped below pH 2 condition. We design a nanocomplex having increased photothermal effect in neutral pH, named as Tween 80 coated PAni/lauric acid (TPAni/LA). TPAni/LA was synthesized via the following process, dissolving n-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, mixing tween 80 solution, and dialyzing using deionized distilled water. To confirm optical property of TPAni/LA, absorbance spectra were recorded, and the morphology was observed by electron microscope. To demonstrate the photothermal therapeutic potential of TPAni/LA, cancer cell incubated with it, and ablated by irradiation of near infrared light. |
