제목 Selective Immobilization of Biomolecules by an Anti-biofouling, Amphiphilic Polymer on Polystyrene Surface
초록 We report selective immobilization of biomolecules by an anti-biofouling and amphiphilic polymer on polystyrene suface. New amphiphilic copolymers were synthesized by radical polymerization to modify polystyrene surface. The polymers are comprised of three parts: anchoring site, PEG, and carboxylic acid. Amphiphilic copolymers were selected as putative anchoring groups onto polystyrene(PS) surface under expection of hydrophobic interactions. As expected, amphiphilic polymers were well soluble in water due to PEG groups. Streptavidin was introduced via biotin- NH2 on the polymeric polystyrene surface and checked by micro-contact printing method. Biotinylated bovine serum albumin(BSA) was detected via horseradish peroxidase(HRP) conjugated anti-bovine serum albumin(BSA) by ELISA reader. As a result, our system showed the lower detection limit and increasing signal to noise by not using blocking buffer compared with pre-existing streptavidin coated 96 well plate.
